After my buddy's whining tranny Laughlin saga (separate post on this board), I decided to do-it-myself. No more Syn3 in all 3 sumps for moi! Redline HD synthetic in the tranny, Royal Purple Racing #41 in the crank, and Royal Purple Synth 10W40 in the primary from here on.
Using my SE road glide's owner's manual (my RK's temp. uh.. misplaced..), this computer guy was _challenged_ when it came to Miss Piggy's holes. Not like you can click & drag the fluids out.. <sigh>. The manual was useless, so I may have approached her inappropriately with my wrench. Then, I waited a day for her tranny sump to drain: through the primary drain hole. LOL. Shake, lift, <drink beer> tilt, wobble.. spill oil on garage floor..drop tool in dirty oil bucket. Still no joy getting the tranny fluid level to drain. Figured the Redline synthetic defies gravity maybe?
Long story short, I finally mastered all of Miss Piggy's drain hole locations & submit these two .jpgs for mass edification of your drain hole dummy friends!
p.s. the purple oils in a purple scoot are a helpful concept for this left coast HD rider.. that's how I know where they go!
Now this..
