Best performance pipe for the SERK?
« on: March 03, 2008, 11:37:06 PM »

D&D 2 into 1

2007~2008 FLH/FLT Fat Cat Performance Exhaust Pipe
Performance – D&D Performance pipe increases horsepower and low end torque. Will need to tune pipe to your engine specification.

Sound - We spent significant time working on the dynamometer to keep the rumble strong.

The 2007~2008 FLH/FLT pipe utilizes all standard hardware. Has O2 bungs installed to fit factory sensors without modifications.

                                                                         VS

V&H 2 into1 Pro Pipe,

100% blue proof. The most coveted 2-into-1 performance pipe for Harleys is new and improved with the addition of blue-proof technology over the entire pipe. From its 2-1/8" header and collector heat shields, to its new full coverage megaphone heat shield, Pro Pipe BP carries on the heritage of track proven performance, now with a blue proof chrome finish. Includes mounts for factory O2 Sensors.

If there's others out there please advise.

Personally i do not care for the sound of the D&D but the fit and finish is second to none. Very good quality pipe and performs very well.

Others here have had quality issues with the Pro-pipe but also a good performing pipe.

fatcat makes better bottom-mid. propipe makes better mid-top. roadrage, mid-top, lsr=upper mid, big top end, loud.
supermeg, tunable for bottom, mid, top but gets louder as you tune toward mid and up.

opinion is fatcat w/qiet baffle is great bottom /mid pipe that you would want on heavy bagger and quietest of all except supermeg tuned for bottom end. no comparison is quality,fit,finish---------fatcat wins hands down.

I had the V&H ProPipe on my o4 & had no issues whatsoever. I decided to go D&D Fatcats on my 07 because of the better bottom end.
