Is it just the HD brand which suffers problems with the 110 engine.  Does anyone out there own an S&S, TP or Rev Tech with similar problems or are they trouble free.

I also own a Big Dog Chopper, 117 S & S with 5000 miles and not a bit of engine trouble. But it is based on an EVO style motor not a Twin Cam.

I've herd good and bad stories about all of the above which is normal I guess. One of the local shops around here told me that TP motors which is rite here in CT has a nasty habit of falling apart after about 5-10k miles.

S&S does not seem to be able to build a motor over 111-117Ci that can last over a year with out major issues. Witch explains why there 124Ci motor only comes with a 6mo warranty :-X and there also known for excessive vibration and heat, As popular as they are and as long as they've been in the game its not hard to get a better and less expensive motor IMO.

I don't know about the others but for me If had to relace my mill I would have to go with  http://www.cart.rrcycles.com/ all the way.

Where know mill is perfect 90% of the feed back I got when I was researching a ground up build from local shops and even a few HD dealers R&R would be the best bet since my criteria was Longevity ,Cool running, easy starts & ridiculous power.

I know of a few guys who are runing Elbruto evo style motors & just love them . I drove one of their's afew times and other than vibration issues, it was great performing. The 100" right out of the box is about 100/100.
