Caller ID with RAZR V3M and Harley BT
« on: March 12, 2008, 11:21:37 AM »

I was wondering if anyone has a Motorola RAZR v3m (From Verizon if it matters) hooked up to their Harley Bluetooth?  I do and everything works except I do not get any thing from my caller ID.  It shows on the phone so obviously it's working for my phone and account, but it just says incoming call on the HK head unit.  My address book shows and I can scroll through it and I can use the Harley BT voice commands so they're paired and communicating.

I am on version 8.19.0 which according the HD website is the current version of the HK software.  Any thoughts or info would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

J-Carr, I have tried several different phones with the HD bluetooth module. On the HD website there is a list of phones that are "compatible" but not all are. It is a matter of trial and error. I currently am using a Palm Treo 755p w/ Alltel. The caller ID works but the phone book does not. However, the speed dial numbers do. What I have done is place my most frequently used #'s into the speed dial so that they will appear when there is an incoming call. You may want to try this as a work around solution. Hope this helps, AJ
