SERT on multiple ECMs?
« on: February 07, 2008, 07:16:28 AM »

Any of the assembled electronics gurus ever looked at making a SERT usable on multiple ECMs?   :huepfenjump3:

Anybody likely to be interested in a gizmo for that purpose if it can be done?  ;)

Jim,

I know that it's possible to use a SERT on multiple ECM's but I know not personnally this guru.
A friend had bought a used CUSE2 with the MAP for stage 1 downloaded in the ECM.
It was with a cracked SERT and he had not the SERT.

The owners of the SERT are less numerous than for Windows XP and I think that it'll be not easy to found an answer in the underground of the web.

Thanks Jacques.

Interesting to know that it's been done!  I have an electronics man looking at one now...  ;)

A guy in Australia figured it out a couple of years ago but I haven't seen him on any sites for awhile.  It was just an overwrite that he would e-mail to you if you asked but he shut it down because of all the doubters.  He took a lot of flack on one of the sites I used to frequent.  As it turns out it worked and several people were fortunate to get it.  At that time he had the overwrite for 2 versions.

The "crack" only worked on version 3.5 and 4.10.  Those version will only work on ECM's up to '04 I believe.  The newer versions of the SERT offer additional capabilities that IMO outway the benefits of the cracked earlier versions.

If the cost of the SERT is a factor, and you have multiple injected bikes to tune, it might be a cost savings to look at the Technoresearch Direct-Link product.

Have you any idea what form that "crack" took?

The crack was a replacement executable for the sert program.

He's had to take some time away from the "project" at the moment, Jacques - he will be back on it at the start of next month, he says.
