  Yesterday I got my 09 Küryakyn catalog in the mail. Their designers thought of serk folks once again. The new master cylinder cover, (8653), looks perfect. I put in my order this morning. The oil pressure sender cover is also a good piece of chrome skin, but the install directions stink. I had to use contact cement to prep the rigit surface so the mounting bracket would stick. Then that bullet point was bothered me, it was ugly. Meaning I cut it off. Now that I see their plan with the 8653 match-up, I understand the meaning behind the idea. It did not work with my serk clutch cable anyway. I did a nice diagonal cut just before the cable, now it looks great and it fits perfectly. I am not sure what modifications the 8653 will require, but face-it what other options do we have outside of a chrome rear master.

Well my package arrived from Kuryakyn today and I install the new look for the rear master cylinder cover. It did not drop into place as the instructions stated.  On a regular Road King, I believe that it can, but on my SERK it kept bumping into a bolt for the exhaust pipe. I could have reposition the clamp, but I chose to use my router to whittle away a 12 x 25 mm. section at the rear of the accessory. I finished it by rounding the edges and it snaped into position as the instructions stated. It is a nice addition for the serk.
