I know I should stay away from this (and I have for more than a full day now), but I just have to make at least one comment.

I am ashamed when I see our government throw the mentally ill out on the streets to become homeless, but then bail out the savings and loan crooks, and now the investment banking/hedge fund crooks.  The pendulum in this country has swung much too far to the right, and it is high time to start it swinging back toward the middle ground.

Jerry

The Bushies made hay out of calling anyone looking for middle ground a fence sitter or a poll watcher or wishy washer or flip flopper or any number of terms expressed in the pejorative. My idea of a democracy is not one a mojority of one vote rules, but one in which the overwhelming majority is represented. I'm as tired of Bush bashing as I was of Clinton hating, but I'm even more tired of an administration that governs with a 28% majority over a 72% minority.

FYI
John McCain was waist deep in the Keating 5 scandal and NO, that doesn't mean I'm voting for HRC or BHO just that no matter who gets elected, we get if not a crook, someone who has coddled crooks at 1600 Pensylvania Ave.
