Bet his foot is going to hurt later from getting rolled up with the wind screen.  The side impacts on knees and elbows weren't diminished at all either.  I watched it twice and I'm honestly not sure if the neck is really stabilized much either.  But it does look cool.  Soon all the rice rocket's smurf suits will have bags built in.

There are also some airbag vests that inflate front and rear.  Neat concept.
