The Screamin Eagle billet cam plate is $264 from Chicago HD

The Screamin Eagle Eagle billet cam plate & new style oil pump is $344

That is only $80 bucks more, seems like quite the bargain, especially compared to the Fueling gig.

Has anyone here actually done a performance comparison between the two?

If you look closely, you'll notice that they are two different cam plates. The one with the oil pump does not have the cam bushings like the SE version for the 06+ dynas and 07+ touring bikes. My guess is that the one wih the oil pump still uses the old-style cams with bearings in the cam plate while the billet plate without the oil pump is an upgrade to the cast plate we have stock in our motors, which will give us cam bushings since we have nothing now.

So, if you go back and read a little of the description instead of just looking at the pictures quickly, (not you Chief, me) you see a difference, not the least is the model year application.  :nixweiss:

From the HD site

25282-07
Screamin' Eagle® Billet Cam Support Plate

Billet cam support plate is manufactured from billet aluminum; featuring pressed in bronze bushings, and is
pre-assembled with the crankshaft bushing and oil pressure relief valve. Aluminum is specified at 6061-T6 billet plate, heat treated to T6 specifications, with a surface hardened anodized finish providing superior strength, rigidity, and durability.

Fits '06-later Dyna® and '07-later Softail® and Touring

25283-07
Screamin' Eagle® Billet Cam Plate and High Volume Oil Pump

Billet Cam Support Plate is precision machined from 6061 Aluminum and anodized for durability.
pre-assembled with crankshaft bushing and oil pressure relief valve.

Fits '99-'06 Touring and Softail® and '99-'05 Dyna

So they appear to be the same, modified for the model year changes.

So, is the oil pump through HD a "just as good as" option compared to the fueling?

Not that I will be doing this soon, (depends on the tensioners I suppose), but I want to be ready for when I do decide to do the cams (gears) and figured on replacing the oil pump anyway.

Left plate is #25282-07

Can't compare the HD to the fueling, but the HD unit is the same as is coming stock, higher feed and scavenge rates than in previous years and the main reason people bought the fueling unit.
