Jacques...glad to see you're out on the bike enjoying the beautiful French countryside.  The bike looks great, my friend  :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Jacques, my friend, great pics, thanks for sharing.  I can't help but think how much better looking your other bike was.  I may be a little prejudiced though.  It must be wonderful to travel through little mountain towns that are a century old.  Most of the towns here aren't yet 200 years old.

Thanks Jacques, saved in my pics. Give us a landmark so we can look on Goggle Earth.  :cherry:
Good lesson on temperature conversion. Sure we can look it up but hard for me to think in metric terms. Had to get a pencil out but remembered that you must get from 100 Celsius to 212 Fahrenheit using nine fifths plus 32. So.. 100 X 9 divided by 5 is 180 plus 32 gets you to the 212! :stars:

Thanks Jacques,

I looked it up on Google Earth. Did you post the photo at those coordinates? Soir d'automne is the lable and it looks like the barn in your photo. Neat! :pineapple:

Great pics, hope there was French bread, cheese (Camembert-real stuff), and wine to cap off the ride.

Low 40's here and threatening rain, so much for nice spring ride today. :(
At least there is a marathon showing of "Deadliest Catch" on Discovery Channel today.
Thanks for the pictures, at least I can daydream here on the couch.

Same deal in SW MO yesterday. Cold, looks like rain, watched about three hours of "Deadliest Catch", "Diehard with a Vengence" and ended the day with "King Kong" and hambuger helper. I was the ultimate couch potato. Kinda cool just every once in a while.   :2vrolijk_21:

The camembert is speciality of Normandy (North - North West of France)
It's possible to buy it in all area of France, but...
We have 400 differents cheeses in France !  :o
All different, so you've the choice ..

The Camembert we get in the US is from pasteurized milk, not the same as what you get in (other parts of 8) France or Germany.
Just looking at your pics inspired me to google - camembert and I found an importer who has camembert de Normandie and Gruyere de Comté.
Not the same as what is available to you.
