word of warning for thinking of ordering the sert, i ordered a sert from a usa dealer cus its a third of the price i have to pay from the dealer in switzerland, unfortunatley the european bikes r not the same as usa domestic bikes, the sert could not be registered with my vin, this was confirmed by mr hd tech in my area.

In any case I would recommend going with a Power Commander and through a knowledgeable dealer, who has a DynoJet tuning facility.

Ride safely,

Not true! Yes, the bikes are different, but the SERT is not.  I've done it myself - SERT from the USA, HDI (UK) bike - not a problem.   The SERT does NOT vary!

could be that the difference is communication between miles and kilometres? As uk our bikes have mileage odometer like usa! The dealer who did my head gaskets have set up loads of bikes with no problems with sert. I also spoke to the hd tech rep of switzerland who confirmed the sert would be different.

How would they be different than the Canadian Bikes which are also in Kms?

All of my HD SERT kits worked on my 03 Road Glide with both the 103" and the Jim's 120, had to do custom maps on the Jim's, however still worked. Purchased another to upload into my 2004 SEEG once get more miles and decide with what exhaust I will stick with, do not foresee any problems.

I know of many Canadian bikes tuned with SERT and no problems of communicating with the ECM.

Nope no danger.  The SERT does not differ, anywhere.
The HD Tech rep was wrong.

What a load of old sh*te we buy into well, I have had enough.  It's now time to do some maitenance training and start doing it myself.
The thing is these guys really believe the crap they give us.  What qualifications do these lads need to work on these bikes?   Because it's not very inspiring listening to what's around us.
