The green wire/black tracer and white/orange tracer. These wires are unused taped to the voltmeter wiring harness.

Taped to the plug for the voltmeter. Upper right side inside the fairing.

Porthole believe it or not I think they are the stock speaker wires. When they installed the upgraded radio with amp they also suppy an overlay harness for the two speaker setup that comes on our bikes.

Because the MoCo was too lazy to actually make a different wiring harness when they already had one they could butcher for the upgrades? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

The fact is they don't butcher they add another one to it! To save the cost of making a whole new harness JUST FOR THE SEEG. When they installed the ultra model radio with amp and only use two speakers they needed a new harness. Hope this helps. Stay safe.

This brings up an interesting question.  If it's an overlay harness that is adjunct to the stock harness than it could be removed.  If it's removed then we'd be back to the original "stock" radio connector.

If that's the case than with the removal of the overlay harness we'd be able to use the RetroRadio kit from Biketronics?  They said their radio controller would work with our bikes because of the difference in the radio connector.  But if it's as simple as pulling out an intermediate harness than the problem isn't really a problem after all.

Has anyone traced this harness back to find out if it does just unplug and remove the standard Glide harness?

Don I actually have a SEEG manuel form the Moco. The very last page shows the overlay harness. Now where the connectors are for the rear speakers on the stock harness is something I don't know. I have not looked for them but I'm sure they are there. Stay safe.
