Can it be this hard WO 575's
« on: April 14, 2008, 10:58:10 AM »

I was putting on my WO575's on my Jester and followed everyones advise except two things.  First I didn't want to put the Harley 2" over lines on and not be able to put the chrome cover back on and have it fit right.  Sooooooooo, the second mistake was taking the bike apart without all the parts here.  I can't believe that I can't get anyone to make a reliable break line using the block from my stock lines.  Sooooooo, my bike is in pieces, I won't have it for a rally next weekend, I am losing the best riding weather of the year, and I'm pissed.  You'd think I was the only one ever to try this on a Harley.

Anybody got any advice?  Please don't tell me I should have listened.  I'm thick but I figured that out on my own.

I was able to get the chrome cover on under the triples after using the 2" over brake line. There is enough adjustment in the rear slots that it went on fine. Maybe get the bolt started from the underside and then put in the bolts in the rear edge and then tighten them all down at once so you'll have more wiggle to get all three of them started.

and not be able to put the chrome cover back on and have it fit right.

Dom, I don't know why some folks have reported a problem with the fit of the chrome cover with the 2" over lines; it went straight back on as before with mine.

You need the 2" longer hose, and don't chince out and not get the 2" over throttle cables
