A few years back, my wife and I were on our Road King heading to a Doc's appt. in Brookline.  We were in the left lane on Huntington Ave.  When the woman in the right lane moved over in fromnt of us and slammed her brakes.  We got caught inbetween here and the high curb of the T tracks down the center median.  Just road rash and some minor damage to the bike.

Luckily, our doc bandaged our wounds when we got there.  To be honest, the near misses are more frightening, especially those left hand turning vehicles.

I am oh so glad that you walked away.  All that stuff can be replaced/repaired a lot easier than you can.

I hope you never have to experience it.

They say everybody goes down once.

I paid my admission to the club.

I'll be up again by the end of the week.

My friend once told me "green bikes are bad luck"...

Here's to bad luck!!!

Naaaaw.  Don't believe that 'green bikes are bad luck' deal.  I rode a green knucklehead for 19 years.....it was always good luck for me!  Now, I HAVE heard that once a bike is green, you should never change it's color or it's bad luck.  But, a green and black bike is so pretty, why would you want to??????? No no no no no.  Green bikes aren't bad luck.  It's green underwear that's bad luck.  Somebody was confused  [smiley=7.gif]

(And a bra.  Bras should always be considered bad luck.  That's another reason for legislating to get rid of them.)

Yeah, I think I read it somewhere, might have been in an abate or RFJ rag, that said they are lobbying for bras to be a ticketable offense on a motorcycle. [smiley=bigok.gif]

Why take the easy road?  I prefer to come
to a stop slidin' in sidways, hangin' on
for dear life, just so I am able to say;
"Man what a ride!"
