Passenger intercom connector/spring
« on: April 17, 2008, 04:02:42 PM »

Has anyone figured out a way to mount the spring for the passenger intercom cable. I know on a stock Ultra the spring hooks to clip on the right side of the license plate bracket. On the CVO the amplifier is in the way. My dealer wire tied the spring to left upper license plate hole, it looks like crap and does not leave enough tension on the spring. End result, the plastic housing, and spring sit are sagging, and could scratch the saddle bag lid.

You are right about the damage.  The top of my saddle bag is chipped where the connector bounced off the top of the bag.  I have it in the shop for the break in service and have asked the dealer to warranty the top of the bag.  This is the sixth Harley I have had and probably would not have said anything about this type of damage on the other bikes.  However, for what I paid for this bike I do expect the dealer to replace the top of the bag and secure the connector.

Lawlack, It happened to me.  Left hanging from the factory.  I had the dealer secure it with a tie.  It damage the top of the saddlebag.  I'll be intrested to know if you can get them to replace it.
