I have noticed it is very easy to drag the kick stand when riding with my girlfriend on the back. Of coarse i know the bike already is lowered from the factory by about 1 inch. Anybody else ever dragged their kickstand?

My real question is that i am thinking of changing the exhaust and i am wondering how bad it will drag: I have narrowed my choices down to Samson BG3 street sweepers, Rinehart cross-backs, or Vance and Hines side shots. Anybody with these exhaust systems have an opinion on if you think they will drag when making sharp low speed right hand turns?

My '07 does the same thing - especially riding 2 up. At least it's cheaper to replace the kickstand than the case!! I've scraped the right footpeg a few times as well. Who says ya can't corner with a springer!!!

I used to do that too, but then I found out that the kickstand folds up.  That solved most of the problem for me...   :huepfenlol2:

I believe the solution is to get a Corbin Solo.

I was perfectly happy with my Springer till I first scraped the kick-stand once and then a couple of weeks later I scraped the boot and right footrest; and this is one up, since my wife doesn´t like "motorsycles". The bike has all the potential you need to lean it in either side given how well it handles and the pair of "shoes" they have installed on the 2008. Problem is of course, that if something hits while leaning, there goes all the fun..I have actually lost confidence and I´m no loonie that likes leaving my chrome on the tarmac or even worse, fall off; now I get the weird feeling that one of those times, my footrest could dig deep enough to throw the bike down the road. It is not a pleasant feeling. My first try will be to lift up the rear suspension or something of that sort.

Make sure you don't keep your peg pivots too tight. That's why they fold. ;)

Took delivery on APR 4. At 75 miles on APR 8, I scrape something while in a roundabout leaning Left, riding solo. Kick stand has "damage".  :huepfenjump3: This bike begs to be driven. HD set this bike up to haul ass and corner, to a certain extent. I'm pleased, but at the same time the limitations are quickly seen. I'm not complaining, just feeling the bike out at this point. I'm giddy each time we ride!

My '08 drug the stand easily and got ridiculous when riding two-up.  Come to find out, the rear shocks were set as low as possible (as delivered new).  Adjusted the shocks up to about mid-way, and the problem went away!  It doesn't appear to set any different and it also quit riding like a hardtail. :orange:
