I was wondering if anyone has seen a chrome or stainless steel "Kick Plate" that would go on the inside facing edge of the rear speaker pods on an Ultra?
I have seen the H-D chrome speaker trim rings but was interested in something more that would cover part of the inside and maybe the leading edge of the rear pods. On the 2006-2007 Ultras the pods have a long leading edge compaired to the pods of a 2008 Ultra but I don't know if they would be interchangeable or not.
I was looking for some protection from boots when people throw a leg over the bike.Hoping to find a cheap but attractive solution.
Thanks for your replies.

I'd buy one of those (if they exist) in a NY minute.

I noticed a good deal of boot scuffing on mine when I shined it up over the weekend.  My thinking is that most regular passengers get a feel for the leg swing and miss it every time after a while.  I likely wouldn't put a piece a chrome there but would be interested in something a little more subtle.

Hmmmmm, I guess there's a benefit to being vertically challenged.  You get to do a "leg-kick" when getting on your SEUC's.  If I attempt to do the typical leg kick, I kick the tour pak in the side (I'm 6'4" with a 33" inseam), so I have to do a "leg-over" type maneuver, by grabbing the lower hem of my jeans and bringing my boot up over the seat.  It's kind of awkward, but I never kick the tour pak.  Now on the SG, because I don't have a tour pak I can swing a leg over with no problem.

I'm taking it that cremebrulee hasn't read this thread yet. She hits it every time  >:(    ( :-* )

My problem is the driver's back rest. When I swing my leg over it I somehow scuff the top causing the leather to wear. I've put some Doc's on it but it still comes off.
