I was just out in the cage running some errands. On my way home I spotted a Sport Bike in my rear view mirror coming on fast and playing with the traffic. The guy looked like he knew what he was doing, even from a distance. I kept watching him in my mirror. As he approached, I moved all the way over to give him room, and wave him by. He immediately slowed down next to me. Musta been curious as to why I did that and waved him past me. You just don't get any courtesy in NYC from cages!
When he pulled beside me, I noticed he was a Sport Bike Patch Holder. Not familiar with their clubs at all. He was wondering WTF I was doing and I told him I was just giving him some room. He smiled and thanked me, then put on a show just for me! He got the R's right, lifted the front wheel straight up, and rode in front of me at my speed awhile on a wheelie. This guy could've done it all day! He was a really good rider and was in full control of his bike. Then he just accelerated, still on one wheel, and walked me, dropped it back down, and blew away out of sight!

I always make room for bikes splitting lanes or anything else I can do to accomodate bikers when I'm not on mine. I always get a wave or thumbs up for doing it too. As I said, it just don't happen here. But this guy gave me the ultimate thank you by putting on that show for me. He really put a smile on my face! And I enjoyed every minute of it too!
I just had to tell ya'll about it, and was wondering how cages treat bikers in your neck of the woods. How are we treated on the roads in your area gang?
Hoist!
