Hey guys ,just did my first oil change but have an issue.Got the filter off no prob and I left the drain plug out for about 6 hours.Then I put 3 qts of Royal Purple in and then fired her up ,checked for leaks and then checked my level.I was high.I checked it hot as well as cold and am still high.I have since drained out about a 1/4 qt to get to level,but my issue is what gives ? manual states 3.5 qts for change and I have abt 2 3/4 gts in .DId I leave some old oil inside ?Any ideas.

Mine has to be checked on the side/jiffy stand - same for the Dyna?

I show over on a cold check and dead center on a hot check also...

The Dyna has to be checked on the stand. Just had mine changed a couple of weeks ago at the stealers. I check it cold, and it's in the zone.
