09' SERG 1510 error code
« on: May 05, 2011, 02:19:40 AM »

My 09' keeps throwing the 1510 code. I realize the effects of this code and I'm always able to re-set and get back to full power mode however this is becoming a real pest! As I've been riding around attempting to detect what is triggering this event I have recently noticed that it occurs when I need to power out of a turn or around slower vehicles. Is this the beginning of the demise of my twist grip sensor or should I concentrate on something else? The handlebars are stock so the wires have not been compromised. Anybody else been through this?

Not trying to be a smart-azz, but is there some compelling reason why you haven't taken this obviously safety related problem to your dealer?  This sort of thing rarely if ever gets better on it's own, and repeatedly clearing codes to "reset" isn't the answer, proper diagnostics and repair is the answer.

Yes, many others have experienced the same sort of issues.  Some have been corrected by repairing poor connections at the throttle actuator, some have required replacement of the throttle body and actuator assembly.  And of course there could always be other issues as well, thus the need to do proper diagnostics.
