Rinehart slip-ons on '09 Ultra (no workie)
« on: August 30, 2008, 10:26:48 AM »

Beware.  Bub's website says their slip-ons work with the new '09 touring platform, however this is incorrect, at least in my case.  I have an CUSE4 and their xxx100 slip-ons are rubbing against the axle safety clip on the right side.  Normal riding may not cause much of an issue as there is a little bit of space, but if you hit a dip or something you may run the risk of popping that clip right off.  The axle itself is also just millimeters away.

UPDATE: I was able to get a refund on these where I purchased them even though they now had a nice little mark where they were rubbing.  I was told that they are coming out with new slip-ons that will have an indent in them (just like the stock mufflers) so this will not occur.  Of course that would have been nice to know instead of Bub telling everybody their existing mufflers fit.

The Rinehart slip-on mufflers, pictured to the right, part number 1801-0100, 1801-0273 and 1801-0274  will fit the the new 2009 FL Touring models.
