Thanks!

The frame and swing arm are very different.

Will that translate to better handling? I hope so!

Hopefully, beefier will mean stiffer and add-ons, like the Tru-Trak, will no longer be needed.   :2vrolijk_21:  One thing I wonder though, is a bolt-together frame better than a one-piece welded frame?   :nixweiss:

Great find.  Many of my buds will be checking this stuff out.

I like the idea of two front lower engine mounts.

Cool data sheets.  Thanks Chip.  One of my first thoughts about the bolt together frame was the "what if?".  After all, anything can come loose.  But with chemical bonds and good maintenance it's not something that would immediately scare me.

I like what it suggests for flexibility in that new hole.  Different section might bolt in with mounting tabs for who knows what later on.  But can do so without a total redesign.

Also was interested to read that there is no longer a drivetrain alignment.  They think they've got it completely nailed down now...  Will be interesting to see if that plays out as effectively as they obviously expect it to.

Had to chuckle reading the little blurb on the dipstick too.  Two different full marks for bikes that lean the trikes that don't.

Chip,

Great job getting these posted.  Looks like a lot of changes that actually mean something.  Do you know when the demo days are going to be held at Charlotte HD?  Looking forward to getting on one of the '09 touring bikes to see how it feels with that new frame.

The bolt together frames on my 30+ year old rice bikes are fine....even the bushing.  :confused5:

I like the idea of two front lower engine mounts.

Now we can replace two mounts instead of just one?
