Stainless Braided Brake Lines

Has anybody checked their rear brake lines? Their not braided stainless, well on mine their not anyway. My fronts are, but not the rear. 2013 FLHTCUSE8 ANNV. I think their supposed to be..Are yours??

I could be wrong of course, but I don't remember them using the fancy lines on the rear on any of the Touring models.  Mostly out of sight anyway, so Harley wouldn't expend the money.  Just like they don't include the perforated chrome cover on the rear caliper like they do on the fronts.

It's been years since Harley even had a rear stainless line in the catalog.  It's not that they didn't supply it.  They don't even have the option available.  Have to go the aftermarket for that one.

The answer:  No, and No.  If it bothers you, replace it.  But I don't think it matters one hoot in hell for that short distance.  Braided lines do serve a function, but only to a point.  And as was mentioned, if they are not seen, HD is not going to worry about it at all.  The dual front brakes do 70% of your stopping anyway...

And, no matter how much you might want people to after going to the expense of buying and installing one, that rear brake line just doesn't get seen.  Stealth part.
