FXR 3 CVO Accessories

I was told by Jim that a CVO Cover and CVO Gold Key were not in the box of stuff he got from the owner with my BLUE 3. I called the owner and she said she never received that stuff. Did our bikes come with these things like my SERK 3 did? Thanks Tim! ;) ;D ;D ;D

Not Tim :confused5:, but I don't think so, Howie.  Gold keys didn't show up until (I think) 2003 and none of the FXR2/3/4 literature I've seen mentions any indoor covers.

I'm the second owner of my FXR2 and I got a lot of stuff but no gold key or cover.

NO gold keys or cover came with fxr2,3,4's just best riding bike they have made. logged 120 miles on mine yesterday..but trying to keep miles down on it..but pure joy to jump on and ride!

I know, it's quite a predicament, isn't it?!?  I guess if I'm never selling it, it doesn't really matter how many miles I rack up on it?  Looks like fxr4mikey should be our role model! :o

These bikes are made to be RIDDEN, not collected! I'd rather own the experiences I get putting on the miles, than own a collector piece! And they can be rebuilt over and over! After all, this chit ain't rocket science!!! ::) :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3:

Absolutely and in the year 2008, all you really have to have is some ability to type, articulate, and have a few tools which are specific to the bike.....and one is well on their way to keeping themselves like any well groomed RV owner.....ON THE ROAD....usually within a couple of hours of taking the time to text any mechanical issue you might experience with these bikes you can find a solution......somebody has already walked in your shoes most likely.....and Howie is right....absolutely right....I am proof it isn't rocket science.....it's a wonderful thing.....both the bikes, the rides, working on the bikes, and communicating with others about the bikes...

I hold the same opinion...people spend thousands on vintage guitars too...play them!

Especially with the fact that the MoCo offers the engine replacement...they're ageless now. Who cares if you rode the miles out of the OEM engine...isn't the point to ride?

Trailers are only for moving from city to city...they should NEVER be seen on the way to any rally.
