I hate waiting....my silver 2009 SERG is now due in January
« on: August 23, 2008, 08:34:59 PM »

Hello again.....

I put a deposit down on a SERG in silver last week.  I just found out today that the order has been moved out until January...........I guess that means my Christmas is now delayed !!  LOL

This is my second Screaming Eagle bike.  My first was a blue 2007 Springer.  I sold that bike awhile ago (bike had about 1000 miles on it and the engine was fine).  I purchased a 2008 Road Glide and fell in love with it.  When I found out that HD was coming out with a SERG for 2009, I discovered how shallow my love for me 2008 was!  That bike is now gone too.  Good thing my trusty 2002 Road King is still with me as I have a lot of riding still to do this season.

Here's hoping that the 2009 110 engines stay together a little better than the past 110's.

See ya around!

I knopw what you mean.  2 days after I put deposits on the silver SERG's I put the Dyna up for sale and it sold 5 days later.  I loved that bike!   :-\  But my SERG is in process so they will list the VIN and ship date next week.  I should have it the week after.

I know what you mean about selling off the old reliable ride.....then waiting......

I've been tempted to put my 2002 Road King up for sale now, too.  But for today, I'm heading off for a ride on it.  Maybe I'll hang on to it until the spring 2009 market; I don't think its value is going to change that much until then.

Unfortunately its not like a car dealer.  With very few exceptions the MoCo tells the dealer how many they are going to get and when...for every model.  Sometimes the dealer can choose colors for the next quarter (or some of the colors).  The CVO's are a different story.  You only get so many and in certain quarters.  1st quarter bikes are a given.  You can request different colors for 2nd-4th quarters.  Of coarese the bigger dealer you are, the better chance you get the colors you requested.  For all of our sakes I hope they speed up the process!!!
