Anyway....every piece of sheetmetal was damaged...frame bent, swing arm bent, forks broken, transmission case cracked...  But the motor started!  Crashed on a Sunday, had an insurance in hand the following Friday....had a new O/B SEEG in the driveway the following Friday (even though I was done riding until spring)....

DAMN!!!!! You are lucky. I have hit a deer but nothing like that. Glad you are doing OK and you now have a new ride.

Holy crap! You had an angel watching over you on that one! Just got back to St. Paul today from a week in the Black Hills. Drove right by your crash site about 3AM this morning. Saw a lot of dear, bighorn sheep, buffalo and other critters all along the roads in the Hills. Managed to avoid them all until early this morning when our van hit and killed a possum just west of Chamberlain.

You are very fortunate you came away from that incident alive!
