Just picked up my 2006 SE FatBoy and why does the seat have to suck?

I have ridden it for 11 miles so far and my back is killing me.  What can be done about this?  I suspect nothing due to the custom nature of the saddle.

I had the same issue with mine.  Bought a Sundowner deep bucket and love it.  Nice seat if you ride two up alot.  If you mainly ride solo, others may have suggestions.  There are pics of the Sundowner on here.  Make sure you get the deep bucket, as it looks better and you sit lower in the seat.  You can get it from Harley.

I rode mine, stock seat, from Atlanta to Daytona, to Key West, to Ft Lauderdale, and back to Atlanta in a week.  I don't have an @ss, it got chewed off in the Army.  But I ended up with a Sidekick from the moco, it was nice.  I could ride all day with the sidekick.  I tried the deep buck sundowner, it didn't look right and pushed me up on the bars.  I bought a gel pad, fits on top of the seat. It worked well with the stock seat.  I'll sell it to you if you would like.  I don't use it, I have a SERG now.

I've often wondered if H-D owns.......at least in part.........Corbin, Mustang, Danny Gray, etc.  The MOCO makes crappy seats thus leading the owner to purchase a better seat through an aftermarket vendor, which leads to increased profit margin for the MOCO.  That's my conspiracy theory.   :nixweiss:

i think the chrome seat trim is overkill and was the reason i didnt snap one up!
