Music While On the Web
« on: October 16, 2008, 01:23:58 PM »

I know we talked about this a while back, I have a TV on my PC, but get tire of watching, so I listen to music more. I use Pandora Radio, it's a site that lets you build your own music stations with the music that you like to listen to. I have about 10 stations going, acid rock, Celtic, alternative, southern rock, blues and some country. I have a 5:1 surround on my PC, sounds great, though this might be a more enjoyable way to spend your time on the web. Unfortunately I don't think you can get it in Canada, not sure about anywhere else. If anyone else is on Pandora, and would like to swap some stations just send me a PM.  :pepper:

Pretty cool Talon...thanks for posting.   I used to listen to Starstreams on XM...until the cretin's dropped it.

Try music by Erik Wollo....I usually put his stuff on in the background when working from home.  I need the white noise stimulation I guess without being distracting.   Prodigy/Motorhead isn't very good to work by...to ride by yes!

Glad you like it, it takes a while of adding music to get a station narrowed down to what you really like, but once dialed in it works pretty good. I have ale kinds of different stations, if I get tired of just listening to one at a time, you can do a quick mix at the bottom of your stations list and it'll allow you to mix up some of you created stations.

I agree.  It makes life at work almost bearable.  I have 35 or 40 in my list and quick mix them.

I only have to reject a cut occasionally.

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to "stream" music at work. I just brought in a whole lot of my cd's and created a music file to randomize...it's o.k. but not as good as what you have rollin'!

I work from home, so I can listen to anything I want! :2vrolijk_21:
