6 Months Extra Warranty On New Bikes
« on: November 09, 2008, 10:23:39 AM »

When I picked up my '09 Ultra Friday , I was told by the Sales guy Eric, that MOCO is adding 6 months of coverage to the 2 year Factory Warranty. It started the day I picked my bike up, damn I love coincidences.....  According to Eric HD is running this promo until April '09...Wonder if this is MOCO's  economic stimulus package.....Greg

I bought my bike in November of last year and the dealer told me the warranty wouldn't start until April because of the cold weather and the fact that the bike would be sitting until then anyway.

That's a nice little bennie thrown in for the snowbirds.  Number of rust belt or New England bikes that do get sold in the winter months are likely enhanced by such a program.  I didn't find reference to a program like this on Harley's website.  But if it's going on it's a double benefit to those who can ride most or all of the year.

I sure will ask my dealer about that.  My bikie should arrive the end of Jan or begining of Feb.

My dealer up here in Ontario did the same for me when I picked up my 98 Fat Boy in the winter of 97. Didn't kick in the warranty until Apil 1997. Apparently its common practice in the snow belts. THE MUFFMAN
