Cordless Impact Wrenches
« on: September 27, 2008, 12:36:31 AM »

O.K. guys (and gals) I know most of you use Cordless Impact Wrenches and I'm curious which brand you use and your opinion of it. I just purchased a Bosch 18V 1/2" Cordless Impact to help ease the pain with my engine swap project. All i can say is, what took me so long to buy one of these. That thing zipped out the main shaft and clutch shaft bolts like they were butter. And i didnt have to wait for the darn compressor to air up. These things are really awesome. If you haven't tried one yet, you owe to yourself too. I  purchased my Bosch from TOOLUP for $351.00, came with two Lithiums, Charger and a nice carry case. It's rated at 350 ft. lbs and I don't ever see using it to the limits.

I guess you can tell i'm really exicted with my new tool    :pepper:

I on the other hand bought a 39.00 Chineese air impact that will not take a 17mm nut off the crankshaft of a scooter.  ::) Must be something in between.  ???

Hitachi makes a great 12v nicad puts out 111 ft lb  and costs around $210.00 smaller , lighter most torque for the price. I have sold better than 100 of them and not a single problem . I think the part # is wr12dmr ,not at work so I can't check the # for sure . When I go in on Tuesday I check. This is a great tool.

I've had a DeWalt 12v impact for over 3 years now and it is still running great after a lot of use.  I recently purchased a Bosch 10.8v and what a sweet tool.  This impact is small and packs a punch for smaller projects.
