Curious did the Chrome High Output starter fix your starter grinding noise?????

Well, I started out with a chrome high output starter, and it seemed not able to handle the compression. So i figure the new ones days are numbered. So in essence I cant honestly answer your question. I dont know what model you are thinking about, but my bike (05 SEEG) does NOT have the ACR, thus the starter issues I believe.

Hope this helps!

I have the Chrome starter, it was grinding for the last year, I recently put in a new Drag Specialtys Battery, and repalced my Power Commander with a Race Tuner, re-dyno'ed the bike, and the grinding is no more. Not sure what it was now, but am glad its gone. Weak Battery maybe?.

I would have to agree, as I believe my battery is weak as well!!! Obviously a contributor.
It seems to me you are implying that by installing a Race Tuner, this contributes to the problem/solution. Is it because it may change the timing, thus the compression? Does that mean the timing is DELAYED, therefore INCREASING compression? Am I thinking correctly?
Just for FYI, my bike has a Race Tuner already installed, along with a Woods Bros cam, and I believe one or both of these is making it a challenge for my high output starter. I can't IMAGINE if I had a regular black starter what I would be going thru! ???

Get a fresh battery and polish that chrome starter and it'll work just fine.  :) har!  spyder
