Do I need to buy the service manual and also the supplement?
« on: October 02, 2008, 03:04:27 AM »

Do I need to buy the service manual as well as the supplement? Or just one or the other. Any suggestions?

I have a 2005 NANA and I am assuming I am looking for the 99843-05 & 99500-05?

If you want all the information pertaining to your specific bike... yes. You may want to get the parts manual and electronic manual too.

One the best manuals I have is the parts manual. It gives exploded views of parts and assembly's ...would be with out one, also helps when i do the qccasional part to bring in my own parts list with correct part numbers :orange:

+1....I love the parts manuals. What I suggest to EVERY guy I know who has a tool box in his garage is to buy not only the Factory service manual for his year/model, but to get the parts manual, and the Electrical Diagnostic manual. With all three manuals in hand for each bike you own, there is NO gray areas......you will have all the correct specs and procedures at your finger tips.

Oh....and BTW, dont even bother with those El Cheepo Clymer or Haynes manuals......unless you ran out of toilet paper and need something to get you off the throne.
