tourpak spoiler light ?
« on: November 08, 2008, 07:55:48 AM »

After mounting the spoiler on the tourpak. How did ya hook the light up?
The usual acc. Plug is not there.  I used a Y electrical acc  and plugged it in to the rear turn signal.

The instructions are useless, as usual.

TIA

I took it up to a local guru and paid him $20 to do the light.  I half-@ss watched him.  He had to remove the side panel and run the wires up that way.  He said the Moco did not give enough wire and made his own quick connect for me and hid everything under the seat.

Should be an one in the tour pak or the accessory plug under the seat.

There is a 3 pin connector and a length wire under the right side cover to right of the fuse panel and MAXI fuse. I don't think it is long enough to get to the toupak. Make a wire harness to connect to this connector so when you remove the toupak the wiring is quick disconnect. There is the normal Acc plug it hangs in the middle of the frame just below the seat tang it is grey and has a black rubber plug in it. It is next to the spare battery power outlet which is also grey.
