Greg,

Your Dad and Mom have had a great life.  You are a fortunate son.  They were blessed. Thanks for sharing their biking and patriot heritage.

Greg how did your trip to the 105th go? I'm sure it had to be emotional to be there in honor of "DAD".

Thanks again to all for all your kind comments. It continues to get better as time goes by, especially as we find so many good things to remember about Dad. Mom is still strong and as Winston Churchill would say, Keeps Buggering On.

Gettinold, our trip to the 105th was absolutely great! What made it so great was knowing we were following in Dad and Mom's footsteps that they started long before we ever considered riding. We met and talked to so may great folks on this trip and I let every one of them know we were riding on honor of my Dad, and Mom.

Thanks to everyone who has commented here and to the entire site. I apologize for not responding to each and every one of you but know it does mean a great deal to me! What a great place this is.

Wow Greg! Your dad sure led a very full and adventurous life, and had someone to share that adventure with. That is awesome! I know you must have some great memories of him as well. I only hope that me and my husband Admiral have as many great adventures together as your mom and dad did.Our prayers are with you and your mom. Please let us know if you or your mom need prayer for anything, anytime. God bless you both.

I'm saddened to tell you there is a rider down, my dad Howard. He passed away this last Thursday the 21st, he was 92. Some of you may remember some posts in the past about him and my mom, they were HD folks from pre WWII and enjoyed riding their 1938 Knucklehead up through the mid 50's. Except during the war when he had enlisted in the Navy. My mom even helped the war effort helping to build baby flat tops on the west coast. What a pair, they are truly an inspiration to all of us. Mom is still going strong, doing pretty good these last few days, and she's 93! They had been married for 67 years.

Thanks to all of you for your past replies to my posts about my Harley folks and their adventures. I had shared them all with the two of them and it brought a lot of joy to them hearing from fellow riders. I'm sure my dad is blasting around now on his "machine", as he put it, and having a grand time.

Here's a picture of dad in 1940 in L.A. on a 7000 mile trip he made through the western part of the US.

Keep riding dad!

Greg

Greg,
Here is a scripture that I think will give you comfort in this time of sadness. I will be praying for you and your mom. I have also added you to my email prayer list to be lifted up to God for peace. God bless.
