What 19" non laced wheels will fit 2000 FXR4 (dual brake rotor)
« on: November 26, 2008, 02:09:26 PM »

I'd like to put the Thunderstar or another aftermarket wheel on the front to get rid of the laced wheel.  What 19" wheels would be interchangeable? How do you know if the spacing between rotors will work since the FXR4 is the oddball here.

Ok.....thinking out loud here.....but you need a wheel that is dual disc and is a 2000 and up wheel since your FXR4 has the different brakes compared to the FXR2's and FXR3's.  I am thinking any 2000+ FXDX wheel will work as an example since it is dual disc.

Tim

My thoughts, just have to see which came with a 19".  The Wideglides were 21".
Looking at the P&A catalog, the pictures of the Thunderstar and most other wheels show the right side of the wheel and it looks like they have a cover with the five bolts holding it on at the location of what would be the second rotor.
Anyone with a FXR3 and the Thunderstar notice that?

You are correct. The wheel can be used for both single OR dual rotors. All standard model Dynas were 19" except the FXDWG's ;)
