So far BB, not much to notice, I have not gone and crunched on them mostly due to indifference, I guess it works.  :nixweiss:

The  ABS cd that came with the bike malfunctioned half way through and ended up in the round file...   :D

Man, you know they think we're stupid when they send along guidance to use your brakes :huepfenlol2: .

Now I feel so stooo-pid.  Took mine to the dealer complaining that the break pedal didn't actually break anything; just slowed the damned thing down ??? .

Been quite awhile since this thread was started. Folks have had time to get used to ABS and as we all know, the 09's CVO's come with ABS. I'd be interested to read some updated comments on this subject

B B

They do work and sometimes too well. Going down a Seattle hill of about 6-7 degrees with ruts they frequently kick in and the pedal jumps against your foot and there are some loud banging noises from the swing arm I think, can't be sure. Did need to jump on the binders real hard one morning-day dreaming and everything was stopped and I was able to make a very quick safe stop. The feel remains what I would characterize as soft and they do get firm after a pump and I guess that is how they are meant to be. Bottom line they do stop the bike without locking up the rear tire-as advertised.

Ride Safe! :coolblue:

Hey 09 Ultra CVO folks,

A cold moring here in VA (44 degrees), OK - cold for the Virginia coast.  My first 11 miles and I hear a whistle from the front brakes.  Apply the front brake and the whistle stops.  Yes, the 09's have the Brembo brakes with an antilock braking system.  Anyone else have this experience?

Bike runs good - just much quieter than my 05 Ultra with the Stage 1 package and eagle pipes.
