Hello all.  I was informed today that when I purchased my bike new in '05, there was supposed to be a "gold key package" offered with it that gave a discount on a bunch of items and include an indoor/outdoor cover with heatshield, etc.?  I did receive the "gold key" with the bike, but I have never heard anything of the rest and figured the best place to seek validity would be here on the board.  Anyone have any idea if there is merit to this statement?  Also, just to confirm, my bike does not have the heel shifter, that also did not come stock on the '05 FLSTFSE correct?

That sounds like it may have been a dealer package - not a standard factory package.  I have never heard of a gold key package that included discounts on items.  Sometimes, individual dealers offer buyer incentives like this...

Gold key, and an indoor dust cover NOT HEATED.

I have the same bike, I didn't receive any of the above including the heal shifter so I would say its safe to say it was optional.

When I bought my 06 SEFB I got the gold key and a heavier CVO cover,that has CVO embroydered on it.No heel shifter

There was no "Gold Key Package" as such. At least since 2004, as listed on the Moco materials and pending on the model, CVO's are delivered with some extra goodies like the:
- Commemorative gold key, which is an extra key. It was early on not supposed to actually work, but did work in many cases. It also can be ordered matching your bikes locks (P/N 71031-04)
- An indoor bike cover, heavy material, with a nice CVO logo embroidered
- A set of carry-out liners for the saddlebags and/or tour packs on the Touring bikes
- A small package of H-D leather dressing, a cleaner/protectant for the saddle
