cylinders ?

H-D used to do 'spiney-lock' on the cyl { splines or wedges on the outside of the metal liner so the alum. would 'grab' to it in forging} and now the liners are smooth {outside} talked to AXTEL and they didn't know when they started doing this or who is making H-D cyl. Anyone know when they made this change ?
