Sturgis 2010

I live just off Interstate 90 in Illinois.  I was on the Interstate for about 40 miles yesterday heading south.  Conservatively, I saw about 50 bikes loaded with luggage heading north - and maybe two dozen bike trailers heading north.  I'd say the Black Hills are about to start filling up with bikers!   :2vrolijk_21:

That being said, I live literally 3 miles east of Interstate 90/39 - the exit immediately past the last Illinois tollbooth, before heading into Wisconsin ... if anyone is in dire need of assistance on their way to or from Sturgis...

There are dealerships 20 miles north and 20 miles south of me.  Both dealerships within a mile of Interstate 90/39.    :2vrolijk_21:

Momma and I are takin' the dogs back out in late September for another week ridin' the Hills. Kandy doesn't like the crowds and the only way we travel together is with the pups. Renting a house just outside Custer this year. Will ride the southern Hills and enjoy the fall colors again. Two weeks a year riding around the Black Hills, could be worse.

I can't blame her on the crowd thing. My dad, brother, and I contemplated going at a different time this year to enjoy the riding and stay away from the crowds. Then I realized something........it's sturgis.

I'm doing just 2 days there this week, week before the "high priced hotels", plenty of folks there then too.  Always fun, always the same.... but again, always fun.

 me and the boys leave out weds 5 am going to kfc museum first then Harley museum  in Milwaukee then out to sturgis for 8 days. Two sons 1- 10 be riding with me and 27 yr old riding 2008 cvo fatbob
