difference in " groundclearance " datas
« on: December 13, 2008, 01:13:02 AM »

On the USA- site :
FLTRSE3 5.1 inch                 - FLHTUC 5.1 inch                    - FLHX 4.7 inch ( 119mm )

On the german site :
FLTRSE3 130 mm(5.1 inch ) - FLHTUC 150 mm ( 5.9 inch ) - FLHX 125 mm ( 4.9 inch )

Now what is it really ?

The FLHX is the lowest  !
Are the CVO( SE )tourer lower than the nonCVOtourer ? Or not ?
FLHX  4.7 or 4.9 ?
FLHTUC 5.1 or 5.9 ?

Could somebody check these dates in their real titles of the bikes .

Are they just toooo dumbass to transforme the numbers from inch to metric ?
Or am I the great dumbass ??????

Heeeeeeeelp !!!!!!! :help: :huh2: :help: :huh2:

The frames on all the touring models are the same, the FLTRSE and the FLHX have the lowered front and rear shocks. The FLHTC has the standard height suspension. The ride height and ground clearance is because of the wheels. The FLTRSE has 18" front and rear wheels. The FLHT and FLHX has a 16" rear and 17" front wheels.

But is the american FLHX really lower than the german FLHX 4.7 to 4.9 ? Has it shorter shocks ?
The american FLTRSE3 ( low shocks - big wheels ) is as low as the FLHTCUSE4 and as the FLHTCU on the USA-site ( 5.1 ) , ( all three the same 5.1 inch ) .
but on the german site
The FLTRSE3 is 5.1 as the FLHTCUSE4 5.1 but the FLHTCU is 5.9 ( 150mm ) ,
that means that in germany the FLTRSE3 and the FLHTCUSE4 would be lower than the FLHTCU .
What is right ?

Am i stoned ?
Or too old ?
Or blind ?
Or nasty ?

And the seat height is in USA CU 27.3 (means lower than) the CUSE 27.4 but
in germany the CU (715mm) 28.15 inch (means HIGHER than) the CUSE (696mm) 27.4 inch .
??????????????????????????

The only solution ( for my limited brain ) is :

The german CUSE is lowered but not as much lowered as the SERG ( the SERG must be lower than the CUSE by shocks because the SERG comes up a little caused by bigger wheels but the groundclearance is the same 5.1 inch ), and the SERG is as low as the FLHX at the shocks but caused of wheels the SERG is a little higher than the FLHX .

But what is the solution for the american tourer ?
Is the american CUSE not lowered ?
