i don't think you should do it.  it'll never be a real cvo bike and i think by the time you get through with this kind of a project, you'll wish you just went out and bought the "real thing". Good luck,  I really think you'll need it.

Agreed Stu! Either get a FLHTCUSE3 and make the TP detachable. Or get a Dragonfly or Hoppe for your SERK! Those seem to be the best FLHX conversion options out there! JMO!!! ;)

Here's a link to a thread where a guy has some anniversary SEUC painted parts for sale.  This would be a good start for you.

Newly registered to this site, but have been impressed by the wealth of information I've previously read.  Can't say enough about how good my SERK has been, 6,000 miles in 3 months no issues (haven't had the "performance upgrade" as Harley calls it done yet). I have had more compliments on the 105th anniversary color scheme than any other bike I've owned. There lies the problem...I wanted a Streetglide, but no SE available. I want to turn my RK into a Streetglide, has anyone added the "bat wing" fairing to a RK?  I've checked all the aftermarket removeable fairings offered, I'd rather use HD pieces. Anyone have any words of wisdom before I start buying parts?

Try contacting Milwaukee HD.
When I was there last summer for the 105th. They had a fairing on a 105 Fatboy that you could buy through the dealership. They had them for RK also.It was complete with Anniversary paint/stereo/ and wiring for around $2400.00.They told me they would ship anywhere. It was through a custom program that the dealer had going. I spoke to a fellow about it and was going to buy it for my Fatboy but as the week progressed more pressing issues arose. :drink: and I never made it back---- go figure.

I had the guy' s business card but that went awol as well.

I say enjoy the SERK the way it is. (but hey, I'm biased) I bet they will come out with a SE Street Glide or another SE Electra Glide in a few years, then buy that and have both.

To all, thanks for the info.

Per Admiral's suggestion, posted my introduction to the "New Members Introduction" as "Hello from Chicago" with a pic of my bike.
