Audio volume reversed

A mc shop changed the bars on my sesg and the install went fine until I tried to change the volume on the radio. The volume control is reversed.i used to toggle up for volume now I must toggle down to increase volume. Mc mechanic is shaking his head claiming the install is correct and the harnesses are plug and play and no chance for error. Any thoughts as to how to fix the problem so that toggle up increases the volume?

Somebody got a couple wires swapped. If the harnesses were purchased as plug and play, then it happened at the factory the produced the harness. I did a bar swap weekend. I can almost guarantee you this is the case!!

That is the bizarre part. No additional harnesses were used and the volume control worked properly before he swapped out the bars

Yes he did. The mechanic now believes he may need to reset the radio.

When he d pinned the wires, on reinstall, he got the two volume wires switched. Not hard to fix, just time consuming

Since there is no way to pull the wires through the bars with the connectors attached, it's really not "plug and play".  Each wire pin has to be removed from it's connector, the wires pulled into the new bars, then the pins reinserted into their proper holes in the connector.  It would be very easy to get two wires swapped.  You'd need to either have a manual for the electrical wiring, or hand draw a wiring diagram when disassembling the pins/connectors.  Really, the only possible reason for reverse operation is the wires are not in the right hole.  Shouldn't be hard to trace and fix, just aggravating.
