Changing 09 Windshield
« on: January 11, 2009, 09:42:43 PM »

Has anyone changed the short windshield on the 2009 SE Road Glide?  I want to put on a higher windshield but am concerned I will have to go back to a rubber seal. Would like to keep the stock look where the windshield meets the fairing.

Several threads in this section concerning the windshields on the '09 SERG's. If someone doesn't answer you soon you might try searching "windshields" in this board only within the last 180 days.

good luck, i tried that while i was waiting on molding from cv. you can make it work but looks like crap. stock windshield is only one that follows those lines. you can see bottom edge of windshiled and it doesnt look good or follow molding.

I have three windshields, the stock one, a clearview 9" dark tint with recurve and the clearview GT med. The 9" looks the best, even better than the stock. It does help out with the wind a bit but it's not much good on the highway. The GT med is awesome for cutting the wind but I'm not crazy about the look. It really is a trade off, looks vs function.

If you have a Cee b Baily  RG sheild you will be alright, But it is not made for the 09 SERG they are working on one now to get out maybe next week.  It will work and is designed for the 09SERG gasket to work.  Doc
