Well now,

I went to a shop up in NH, and the guy bumped all of his other jobs in order for me to have my ride back for today...

We determined that the lower rocker box gasket was the source of the blown oil all over the right side of the bike.

So, as long as we have the boxes off, we replaced the front rocker box gaskets from the top all the way down below the rockers. The MoCo's factory gaskets SUCK in 1999!

They were two-piece thin almost paper that any sane mechanic would have laughed at rather than install.

Absolutely...we line up in Northboro starting at 9 AM.

ok..registration's at 9...there's a breakfasy buffee special, and we pull out around noon for Mt. Wachusett.
