I have to say that I've always thought the people here were very nice to commune with on the Internet. I know that lots of you have developed almost a family of friends that you actually meet and party with from time to time and all the organized rides etc. But there are some of us that are kind of friendly and try to be helpful but not all that social.
I think I fall into that category. I post and try to add where I can, but due to my "life", or lack there of, I probably won't be riding along and meeting up with many of you.
But I digress from the topic of this thread....
Some of you may have read my on going novel about my new bike project, boardtrack turning into a custom of sorts, so you know I've changed my mind a few times etc.
I recently posted in the [/]WANTED TO BUY[/b] forum that I was looking for a plain black EVO style oil filter adapter. It wasn't no time at all and HD-Dude posted that he thought he might have one. Then he posted again very quickly, is this what you're looking for and a picture. I replied yes and asked all the normal stuff, how much, what about shipping, his address to send money and that I wasn't in a big hurry.
I didn't hear from him in a day or two so I e-mailed and asked again.
He replied with, "
Dan;
No worries on the part, it has been around collecting dust for some time. For the filter adapter you'll need HD part number 26352-85.
Enjoy and great pics of your project.
So I responded again with a BIG thank you and asked again about money and shipping.
On Friday I had a package on my doorstep from the BIG HD-DUDE himself. It was my new oil filter adapter.
I'm not sure what to do about this, other than to start with by sending out this big thank you so everyone can see what a big guy HD-Dude is and how he responds to just a question of looking to buy......
HD-Dude, thank you very much and all I can say is I owe you a big one on this.
Here's a picture of it in place on my new project.

Here's one of my happy family that HD-Dude has added his own personal touch to, which I greatly appreciate.

So, just to recap, HD-Dude, you're the man of the week for me.
I really thank you for your generosity and help with my project bike...
