2009 SEUC Floorboards
« on: October 15, 2008, 12:17:49 PM »

Anyone had any results with moving their floorboards further out.  I checked with Kurakyn and the part number 450 will only fit up to the 08 models.  The Kurakyn Tech confirmed this to me yesterday.  But he did say that 4588 would move the boards out and forward.  I really don't want to move the floorboards any further forward, just further out.  Any suggestions on where and how to accomplish this ?

something so simple worked so well. They are amazing what a difference. I rarely use my highway pegs. I still have to go on long rides, but man what a difference, all that ground pounding doesn't come back as fast on the knees now. Look into it.

These move outwards but not forwards.

I don't know if you are still looking for these or not.  It looks like your original post was a few months ago.  Anyway, here is the link to a site to get them:  http://www.harleygoodies.com/hdf/  You will notice that this is the discount ordering page.  If you are a member of http://www.hdforums.com/ you just enter your member ID when ordering to get the discount.  It's not a bad forum, but doesn't compare with this one and it's not CVO oriented like this site.  The guy from Harley Goodies.com provides absolute top notch service and moving the boards outward by an inch feels so much better.  After having them on my last bike, this was one of the first things I put on this one.

I never knew about these until I joined this site.  On my '07 Ultra, I did notice a lot that I had to force my feet inwards from my most relaxed position to have my feet fully on the floorboards.  I saw a warning on Soos' extenders that these may reduce the lean angle and cause you to scrape the pavement on sharper turns.  I scraped a couple times before without these, but am not 100% sure what scraped (slipped my mind to look once the ride was over).  Have you experienced any excessive scraping with the extenders on?

I have the same bike as you but don't have it yet.  I'm thinking the chrome ones would look better than black.  What do you think?

For the passenger extenders, could you tell me if chrome or black would match best with those mounts also?

TIA,
Mike

I only got the front ones, but I know others have gotten the passenger also.  Definitely get the chrome, since you have chrome brackets.  They blend right in and look like one chrome piece.  I have no problems with scraping and they get rid of that feeling of forcing your feet inward.  If you are someone that scrapes your boards, then you will still scrape your boards...let the sparks fly.

Thanks for the input...I just ordered Chrome sets for the rider and passenger.  I emailed Tom at HarleyGoodies and he hooked me up with the discount.   :2vrolijk_21: :huepfenjump3:

That guy is really on the ball.  I initially e-mailed him at like midnight on Saturday night and he got back to me before 1am.
