Its back after a bit of waranty work, new frame and heads
« on: March 09, 2009, 04:01:00 PM »

Following on from my rusty frame the dealer ordered a new frame. The paint work was still poor on the new frame so I decided I would pay to have it powder coated and the weld splatter cleaned up. They changed the heads and I had a paint defect on the inner primary so I upgraded that to a chrome one. Got them to repace the engine zinc fasteners with chrome and as they had the back wheel out slip on an IDS and chrome rota to match the front.

With the bike back with me I removed the amp harness and tour pack (thank you all who detailed the steps) installed a power antenna in the front faring and installed a Corbin classic solo seat.

First ride was this weekend and the bike feels great  :orange: :mango: :bananarock: :apple: :jalapeno: :cucumber: :pineapple: :pepper:

Looks better than new. Nice without the Tourpak.

Are you planning to join our CVO event in May?

Ride safely,
Louis

Hi Louis,

My employer is deciding if to send me to an IBM event in Las Vegas at the beginning of May, I need to get them to make there minds up.

Cheers,

Kev

Very nice look  :coolblue: Always currios of what the white lettering would look like on tires. Did you buy them that way or paint marker? Easy to keep clean?

Yep easy to keep clean, apply Harley tire black and then the lettering pen, it needs a couple of coats, so a bad weather weekend is a good time
