Tour pack hinges

Has anyone used the replacement hinges from Harley. They only cost $43.

Also installed the passenger grab handles. Anyone installing these will need to modify the rider backrest support.
Are they the H-D ones or Kury and can you give me the part no.

Why did yopu have to modify the rider backrest?
Mine bolter right on, no problems.

Hiya,

after reading about the hinges on this forum the otherday i have ordered myself some too. We are flying into the USA fl then down to Fort Lauderdale where I have pre ordered a few goodies to take back to the UK after our holiday. Your bike looks nice not seen that colour yet in the UK.
Keep the pictures coming Have posted some of my new CVO on the members bikes gallery I see a lot of people dint seem to view there often?

where did you get the rear speaker chrome accents from (what brand) ?

Any part number for the new style grab handles ? are they a HD part ?

HD says you can't install them on a chopped tour pack. I had to trim the latch inside width so it fit over the tour pack covers's lip. It then fits flush and tightens up square. All the holes need to be drilled out to fit the new screws. Use the plates provided for the hole size. I used the plates supplied under the rubber seal for added strength since these holes are pins coming thru not bolts. So they work on a chopped tour pack with a little adjusting.
