putting in 2.25" fallsac
« on: March 19, 2009, 11:14:48 PM »

i put a new non cvo header pipe on and am getting ready to put the 2.25" fallsac baffles in, do you have to leave the little biy of material in mufflers and slide the new baffles into it, i'm guessing that you do to protect the pipe, but not sure. figured i'd ask before i put them together. thanks brian

If you mean the fiberglass packing that was around the old baffle, yes, leave it in and slip the new baffle into it.  Some people have left it out and they say the exhaust sounds "tinny" without the packing.

I ran mine without for about 500 miles and then re-installed, leave it in is better. Helps channel the sound/heat to the rear, and yes, less tinny

Screamin 09, did you get your Fullsacs installed? How do they sound? Have you ever had Rineharts to compare them to? Thinking of doing the same as you. Thanks
