Headlight
« on: October 31, 2005, 08:24:47 PM »

I took a rock to my headlight yesterday and cracked the glass. The bulb is fine but the glass is shot. Is it best to go with the Harley replacement or are there other/better options?

Slick, got no idea if the mounts would allow an interchange.  In case they do you might consider a company called Headwinds.  They make some pretty cool looking 7" light assemblies if you're really considering changing the whole thing.

Yeah and you can even get matching turn signals if you decide to go with the embossed flames! I am actually thinking of switching to this set up.

Scott, they (Headwinds) really do have some cool looking setups.  Their complete light setup for the front of Fatboys is really good looking.  I used their very similar setup for Road Kings on the front of a wreck project I rebuilt once and it looked way cool.  As usual with the nice stuff, it ain't cheap.  But it looks really good !

I like the the stock 7" so i'll just replace the light. I was thinking of something brighter but I'll probably blind oncoming traffic in the Lincoln tunnel with one of those Xenon lights. Thanks for the comments.
